Fauna with Flora

November 2014

New Zealand’s birds are inextricably linked to the land they evolved in and the vegetation that surrounds them. Kereru disperse the seeds of the tawa, taraire and others.

Bellbirds and tui are the only feeders on the elongated flowers of the native flax. The associations of our fauna and our flora are unique.
